Paypal Ship Now
(Note: this is NOT an affiliate link, I do NOT make any commissions if you use this link. I’m just trying to help my fellow small business owners by providing this shortcut) Bookmark this link and log into your PayPal Account.
You can print US Postal Service (USPS) and UPS shipping labels at home, from your own printer, and pay with your credit card or PayPal balance. When you use Paypal rather than the post office, you’re getting a postage rate that is cheaper than what the post office offers.
Why would you need to print your own labels through Paypal?
If you’re selling products in an unconventional way, such as on a social media platform, or using PayPal friends/family or your PayPal me link, you may not be able to print a shipping label to ship a product off to the customer. You’ll need to create a shipping label on your own. So many small shop owners I know operate so much of their businesses through PayPal and if they can pay for shipping their packages from their existing PayPal balance, that’s a bonus for sure! Here are a few other reasons why you may want (or need) to buy & print a label for your packages and use Paypal:
Shipping Through Paypal is Cheaper
When you use Paypal rather than your post office, you’re getting a postage rate that is cheaper than what the post office offers. 100% of the time, I ship through USPS; and 75% of the time I ship First Class because it’s the most affordable option. Anytime I can cut down on my overhead costs (like shipping) I do. Another reason I like to ship first class is that I like my packages to look cute (call me vain, lol … or brilliant) but when I ship 1st class mail, I can use polymailers / lightweight shipping envelopes that match my brand’s colors and style. I can convey my branding conveyed seamlessly even through my packaging.
If your packages weigh more than 16 ounces, then you can not ship First Class anymore. If your package weighs 17 ounces or more, then I’d recommend Priority Mail. A big plus is that you can get Priority Mail shipping boxes for free, and still buy and print the label through Paypal. You can pick up the priority mail boxes right at your local post office, orrr… here’s the super awesome part, if you have room to store, them, you can order them online through the USPS website and have them shipped right to your home (also for free!!). Most priority boxes come in quantities of 25 so storage space is important to consider. View the priority mail shipping box sizes and options at the USPS “store” here.
How to order free priority mail shipping boxes online at the USPS store: 1. Create an account 2. Log in 3. “Order” the free boxes, and voila, on most orders, they’ll be delivered to your home in about 2 weeks time or less.
Shipping Through Paypal is Faster
You’ll find this out below, but all you have to do is sit on your couch with your laptop, punch in a few numbers and letters, and boom! You have a label and a tracking number. You don’t have to gather up your kids, drive to the post office, and stand in a line at the P.O. to get a label printed and ship your package. Shipping with Paypal is so much faster and easier.
Shipping Through Paypal Helps with Organization
When you’re inputting information like email addresses and such into the Paypal website, Paypal will save that info for you. It’ll also give you the tracking number on their site. Thus, no more trying to remember where you put that little slip of paper with the tracking number on it from the post office. Those papers just fill up my purse and make me frustrated when I’m looking for my credit card to pay for coffee. Paypal saves information like tracking numbers, and you can even choose to have that tracking number sent to the recipient. How nice is that?
At the end of the fiscal/calendar year when you go to do your taxes, you can easily calculate all of your shipping label costs so you can take those as business deductions since it will all be right there in your Paypal account. It makes it all so much easier to have it all in one place.
How to Ship with Paypal
I’ve laid out the steps on how to ship with Paypal below. Super easy. Check it out.
1. Create a Paypal Account
Here’s a link to create a Paypal account if you don’t have one (not an affiliate link, I do not make a commission off of any of this, I’m just trying to be helpful to you guys) Follow the directions to set up a new account with Paypal and you’ll be all set.
2. Next, use the MamaPacifico Paypal ship now link
As I mentioned above, If you aren’t shipping something that was purchased from you through Paypal, you won’t be able to find a button or link within your Paypal account to ship. Next use the MamaPacifico “Paypal ship now” link and bookmark this page it so you’ll always be able to find it.
3. You’ll then be taken to Paypal, and you’ll arrive at the usual Paypal login. Next you’ll be prompted to enter the recipient’s address once you type in your user name and password.
How to create the shipping label once you’ve used the MamaPacifico Paypal Ship Now link:
4. Choose Where You Want To Ship
Fill out your intended recipient’s name and address. You can also add their email if you’d like them to receive the tracking info. Then, click “ship to this address.” Easy peasy.
5. Fill Out the Necessary Information
To create your shipping label, you’ll need to fill out some more info. However, don’t worry, it’s nothing like filling out tax or doctor office forms. You’ll need to know the package type and the weight. I typically use “package/thick envelope” for my items since my packages are usually less than a pound. Because I ship quite often, I purchased a postal scale to help out with this part. I suggest buying an inexpensive kitchen or a digital postage scale.
6. Purchase your Label
Select any additional details or services you’d like and choose the day you will ship your package. Click the blue “Calculate shipping cost” button, and you’ll see something like this (above) Next, click “Confirm and Pay.”
7. Label Your Package.
Once you’ve paid, you can click “Print.” Your label will resemble the one pictured below. You can choose to print the label on regular paper and tape it to your package, or instead of tape, you can use label paper. If you’re really fancy or do a lot of shipping, you can treat yourself to a Dymo label printer or something similar.
8. Ship it!
Shipping your package is super simple. If you want to drop off the shipment at the post office while running errands, you totally can. What’s even better, is that you can schedule a pick up at home too. Super easy (and Free as long as the pickup happens during your regularly scheduled delivery)
Whether you have a small business that you’re running from home or you have family or friends living in different states, shipping through Paypal is for you. I have saved so much money from using Paypal rather than paying the higher costs at the post office.
Plus, I want you to save money too. I’d love for you to experience the delight of shipping from home. It’s wonderful. So what are you waiting for?!?! Get to it!
